I am licensed to practice in California as a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFC #48896). My private practice is located in Kensington, CA and Berkeley, CA serving communities in the East Bay. I hold a Masters Degree, (MA) in Counseling Psychology, with a concentration in Expressive Arts Therapy, from CIIS - (California Institute of Integral Studies). I have worked in private practice and various clinical agencies since 2000, working with individual adults, children, adolescents, groups and families. I have provided therapy services in schools, Berkeley Crisis Support Services, a group home for adolescents, Clearwater Counseling Services and Kid’s Turn, amongst others. I have experience working with children as young as four, to the elderly.
My training has been diverse. Many theories inform and shape my work, and my understanding of the therapeutic relationship. I mostly draw from Jungian, humanistic, object-relations, somatic/expressive and psychodynamic models. I have done additional training in perinatal issues, neuroscience of the brain, and mindfulness. I trust in the intuitive wisdom of each individual, and their ability to uncover and heal that which needs healing. I meet each person with compassion, honor and respect where she/he is in their unique healing journey. |
